CDS Worldwide installs Solar Photovoltaic Power Generation System

CDS Worldwide, a leading international marketing consulting firm, announced the installation of a 19 kW solar power system, one of the largest for a company of its kind. The South San Francisco, California based company now generates most of its electricity from solar power.

Designed and installed by Marin County-based Marin Solar, the solar power system consists of 90 solar modules together with small inverter units. The inverter units connect directly to each solar module to convert DC power into grid-compliant AC power while transmitting valuable performance data on each module to provide more reliable power and the ability to monitor and respond quickly to performance issues. The system was financed by CDS Worldwide's shareholders.

CDS Worldwide estimates that the system will save the company $1,000's (USD) in electricity costs annually. It is also expected to reduce the company's carbon footprint by more than 35,000 pounds of CO2 per year.
