Following a request from a multi-national client, we expanded our territory coverage and inherited a customer focused primarily in a rapidly contracting market segment. CDS Worldwide determined that our client's future success with this customer would be limited by the customer's focus on an unrelated, but rapidly shrinking market segment.
Rather than discard the customer and replace it with another, CDS Worldwide recognized they had potential and advised them to change their focus and redirect future efforts toward a rapidly growing market segment we were extremely familiar with. The customer was a quick study and eventually became one of our multinational client's best overseas customers – fostering a business relationship for our client that has lasted two decades.
